Welcome to

education 5203

Work completed for my Education 5203 course shall be uploaded to this page.

Artifact #1

This is my first artifact, it is an image that I have created to act as a stamp/logo for my website and any other online profile. I believe I can use it for social media accounts, business, and imaging for any work with my name attached to it. I initially had the idea to create this image after an assignment that I gave to my students. I decided that I could make a "business logo" and can use this now as an exemplar for future lessons.

Artifact #2

This is my second artifact, it is a Google Form that I adapted into a quiz for a wetlands unit. I have found google forms to be incredible useful for assessments because of the options available. I am able to a variety real graphics, links, and questions/answer formats. Also, once each student/participant has completed their quiz, they receive feedback on their marks and successes/struggles. I have built off of this experience and used google forms for a range of formative and summative assessments.

Artifact #3

For my third artifact, I created a video that showcased my school. I was very proud of this video as I was able to use a variety of text styles, design elements, and audio/video choices. Due to FOIP issues, I have not posted this video. However, as a replacement, I have left a few "mannequin challenge" videos that I made with a class a couple years ago. Enjoy!

The Move

I have received several comments and questions from parents about our school relocation that will happen this school year. St. Boniface is being redeveloped which will ensure a fabulous school to return to when it's all done!

The staff and students will be relocated down the hill to the wonderful Don Bosco Elementary, a school I attended from grades 1 to 7! We really cannot offer much information on the semantics of this move yet but we are expecting it to happen sometime early in 2019.

It will be a large undertaking by the school but will be worth it!
